My needs: Digital Fortress by Dan Brown SUMMARY: Our main character is Susan Fletcher, she is a mathematician and she is the main cryptographer of the NSA. She monitors the use of the code breaking machine that can break all codes in less than 3 hours. This machine (called: TRANSLTR) provides information for the US Intelligence. One day Susan gets a call from her boss that she must go in right away. That's how everything starts! When Susan arrives to the Agency she finds it quite strange that almost the whole facility is deserted. Susan was called in because TRANSLTR Had been trying to break a code almost for twelve hours. At the same time David Becker our other main character was sent to Spain to do a favor to the director of the NSA. By the way David is a Professor of Linguistics at Georgetown University and of course he is Susan's fiancé. The trouble starts when Trevor Strathmore Susan's boss tells Susan that this code an unbreakable one. Later on we find out that the code was written by a former NSA employee, Ensei Tankado, who demands that the US government admits publicly to having the TRANSLTR. If not, he will release the code that TRANSLTR can't break and this would make the code breaking machine useless! At this time we already know that Fletcher's fiancé, David was sent to Spain to collect the "key" which can stop Digital Fortress. Digital fortress is the unbreakable code which "cannot be released". David gets into lots of trouble in spain because someone's also been sent after the key, a hitman who doesn't care who gets into his way. That is why suddenly David finds himself running for his own life!
